The owner of the online poker site, Kindred group reported double-digit gains in revenues for the first quarter of 2018.
Unibet Poker is Kindred's online poker room, which is one of the most popular sites out there. They managed to match a historic high in poker revenues for the first quarter.
The revenue of Unibet Poker this year has reached £4.6 million, meaning a 24.3% rise compared to 2017's Q1. Since 2016 the growth has been pretty consistent, 8 out of 9 quarters saw a hefty increase.
The overall gaming revenue of the group reached £207.8 million, thanks to the growth of the sports betting and casino segments as well. Its sportsbook in Q1 was up 42.6% to £94.7 million, while the casino 33.3% to £103.2 million.
According to the report, the success has a lot to do with the Unibet Online Series, the first online tournament series in Unibet's history. The series attracted more than 27,000 players, over €380,000 was paid out in total prizes, surpassing the €300,000 guarantee.
The site has other promising plans, they partnered up with Cash Game Festival for 2018 to organize seven stops during the year.
They saw a high increase in their player traffic as well, which had a lot to the with the migration of the Stan James players.
