Popular chess streamer and rising poker personality Alexandra Botez has officially signed on as an ambassador for ClubWPT Gold, marking a significant shift in the online poker sponsorship scene. The move comes just a year after she joined GGPoker, one of the largest international poker platforms.
ClubWPT Gold, a sweepstakes-based poker site available in the United States, announced the partnership via social media, featuring a video with Botez expressing her enthusiasm for future content collaborations.
Botez, a Woman FIDE Master and five-time Canadian national girls’ chess champion, rose to fame through Twitch and YouTube, where she streams chess and poker content to millions of followers. In recent years, she has transitioned into the poker world, competing in high-stakes streamed games such as Hustler Casino Live, where she won $450,000 in a single session.
Her poker resume includes appearances alongside stars like MrBeast, xQc, Phil Hellmuth, and Tom Dwan, as well as deep runs in live events such as the WSOP Main Event. She has previously worked with major poker brands including PokerStars, 888poker, WPT, and ACR Poker.
With her new role at ClubWPT Gold, Botez joins a growing team of ambassadors, including Doug Polk, Rampage, Nikki Limo, and Wolfgang Poker, further strengthening the platform’s influencer lineup. She also becomes part of the wider World Poker Tour (WPT) family, which features icons like Phil Ivey and Brad Owen.
Botez’s signing is part of a broader trend of ambassador changes in 2025, as other major names such as Sam Grafton, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, and Victor “Isildur1” Blom have also made moves across platforms.
