888 has refreshed its online poker brand, replacing its familiar blue identity with a new green design. The “poker” name has also disappeared from the branding, while the core playing experience remains unchanged.

888 has rolled out a major visual overhaul of its online poker product. The long-standing blue 888poker branding has been replaced by a bright green design, while the company has also dropped “poker” from the product name.

The Evoke-owned operator introduced the new identity on September 28, with the changes appearing simultaneously across its website, desktop poker client and mobile applications. The most obvious difference is the color scheme, with the familiar blue branding giving way to a bright green 888 logo and matching visual elements throughout the platform.

However, the update goes beyond a simple change of color. The 888poker name itself is being phased out, with the poker product now presented simply under the 888 brand.

888 Moves Toward a Unified Brand

The redesign forms part of a broader branding strategy. Until now, 888 has maintained distinct identities for its poker, casino and sports betting products. The company is now bringing them together under a single 888 identity.

According to Kfir Lior, VP and Head of Poker at 888, the new concept was developed following extensive customer research. The aim is to create a more consistent user experience in which the brand, the product and the value offered to players are more closely connected.

The new identity is not limited to a single market. It has been introduced across all of 888’s poker regions, including Ontario, the shared Spanish-Portuguese network and the segregated Italian network.

Poker Client Gets a New Look

The basic structure of the desktop client remains intact, but several visual elements have been redesigned. The previously blue tables used for BLAST games have also turned green, while text and font sizes have been adjusted and the side-game tabs in the main lobby have been made easier to navigate.

The mobile app icon has changed as well, with the old 888poker logo replaced by the new green 888 branding.

The website has also received a more modern appearance, with a darker interface and the new green brand color playing a more prominent role.

Importantly, this is not a new poker software platform. According to 888, the update primarily concerns branding and the user interface, while the games themselves and the fundamental poker experience remain unchanged.

One of the Biggest Changes Since Poker 8

The redesign represents one of the most significant visual updates since 888 introduced its Poker 8 platform around six years ago. That transition involved much deeper technological and functional changes, while the latest update is primarily focused on creating a unified brand identity.

888 has continued to expand its poker software with new features over the years. The room was relatively early to adopt Mystery Bounty tournaments in the online poker market and also offers its own integrated HUD directly within the client.

The platform supports features including Rabbit Hunt and Run It Twice, while its Omaha offering extends beyond standard Pot-Limit Omaha to include five-card and six-card PLO.

Card Strike, available alongside cash games, is another distinctive feature of the 888 software. The bingo-style side game allows players to collect cards on a grid as they play hands, with completed combinations awarding additional cash prizes.

2026 Could Also Mark the End of an Era

888 technology has powered the US-facing WSOP Online platform for more than a decade. Caesars and 888 extended their partnership for another five years in 2021, but the current agreement is due to expire in 2026.

Regardless of what happens with that partnership, the international 888 poker platform will continue operating. The latest rebrand also suggests that Evoke continues to see poker as an important part of the wider 888 product portfolio.

The disappearance of the standalone 888poker brand therefore does not mean that the poker product itself is being phased out. Instead, it forms part of a wider consolidation of the company’s branding, with poker, casino and sports betting increasingly presented under the same green 888 identity.
