The fourth MPC takes place at Casino Grand Lisboa between 21st and 27th February, 2011 with a truly international player pool. Players from all around Asia, Australia, Europe and the Americas come to what is promised to be the biggest one in the tournament’s history. Numbers seem to support this statement: following 37 qualifiers as yet, a record number of players have already pre-registered for the MPC, which means the latest peak number of 321 contestants in the Red Dragon Main Event is bound to be surpassed this time.
Satellites for the HKD $11,000 Red Dragon are still running at PokerStars. The tournament is likely to attract several of the biggest names in high stakes poker. Last time when action went on in Macau, Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan, Urindanger, Phil Ivey, John Juanda and many more showed up, and a similar line-up is the very least we expect here, too. Also, many of the notorious businessmen they played against are once again sure to pay the buy-in or enter through qualifiers.
