WSOP Event #36 $2,500 NLHE continued on Day 4 with the 5-handed play, British online pro Thomas ‘hitthehole’ Middleton in the chiplead. Eventually, with his elimination, Lakhitov and Hassan Babajane played heads-up; after a couple of hands, the Russian shoved and Babajane called:

Lakhitov: {#}K {#}2
Babajane: {#}Q {#}8

Board: {#}6 {#}A {#}A {#}4 {#}T

After four ITM finishes, Lakhitov won his first WSOP bracelet, besting the field below:

Only the heads-up was to be finished on Day 4 of Event #37 $10,000 HORSE Championship. Soulier started with a major lead over Shawn Buchanan; his 6,290,000 in chips stood against Buchanan’s 910,000. After 10 minutes, they shoved on the {#}T {#}8 {#}4 flop in Omaha-8:

Soulier: {#}Q {#}J {#}8 {#}6
Buchanan: {#}J {#}J {#}T {#}7

Once again, only the conclusion of the heads-up play remained for Event Day 4 of WSOP #38 $1,500 NLHE. Tsinis (7,110,000) and Michael Blanovsky (2,765,000) returned and showed off an exciting, fluctuating session. Eventually, with Tsinis in the lead, they were all-in preflop in the last hand:

Tsinis: {#}Q {#}J
Blanovsky: {#}A {#}T

Board: {#}5 {#}T {#}9 {#}8 {#}8

Tsinis won with a straight. The finishers were the following players:

22 players returned on Day 3 of Event #39 $2,500 Pot Limit Hold’em/Omaha, from whom 9 were seated at the final table. With the elimination of Jan Collado, Schock and Rodney Brown were left to play heads-up, a session that lasted 3.5 hours. As in the case before, the game was intense and rich in turns but, ultimately, Schock was in the lead when shoving on the {#}T {#}7 {#}5 flop:

Schock: {#}A {#}A {#}6 {#}3
Brown: {#}A {#}T {#}9 {#}8

Turn: {#}6
