The Battle of Malta has announced a new partnership with CoinPoker, bringing its flagship online festival to the cryptocurrency-focused poker platform for the first time. The collaboration will see players compete in a tournament series featuring $30 million in guaranteed prize money, making it the largest festival ever hosted by CoinPoker.
Scheduled to run from July 12 to August 3, the series combines a packed online schedule with opportunities to win seats and travel packages to the live Battle of Malta festival in Malta later this year.
Biggest Festival in CoinPoker History
The $30 million guarantee sets a new benchmark for CoinPoker tournament series. The figure surpasses the guarantee offered during the platform’s recent World Poker Masters festival and places Battle of Malta Online among the most ambitious online poker events of 2026.
Battle of Malta organizers view the partnership as an opportunity to connect a global online audience with one of Europe’s most established live poker brands. The collaboration is designed not only to offer large online prize pools but also to create a direct pathway to the live festival experience in Malta.
Three Main Events Worth $3.1 Million
The centerpiece of the schedule is a trio of Main Events carrying a combined $3.1 million in guarantees.
Leading the way is the $565 buy-in Main Event, which features a $2.5 million guaranteed prize pool. Players looking for lower buy-ins can choose between the $55 Main Challenger with a $500,000 guarantee and the entry-level $11 Main Event, which guarantees $100,000.
All three tournaments will use a multi-flight structure, giving players multiple opportunities to qualify for the later stages. Trophy winners will also be crowned in each event.
Million-Dollar High Rollers
High-stakes players will find several major events on the schedule, including the $1,500 CoinMasters BTC, which comes with a $1 million guarantee.
Among the other headline tournaments are:
- $5,200 Iron Throne – $400,000 guaranteed
- $5,200 High Roller – $250,000 guaranteed
- Additional high roller events with buy-ins ranging from approximately $1,050 to $1,500
The popular CoinMillion tournament will also return during the series, once again offering a $1 million guarantee for a $215 buy-in.
In total, the festival will feature 77 trophy events, with champions receiving official Battle of Malta trophies.
Path to the Live Battle of Malta
One of the key attractions of the series is the chance to qualify for the live Battle of Malta Autumn Edition, which will take place in Malta later this year.
CoinPoker plans to award 100 live event packages throughout the festival via satellites, promotions, freerolls, and special tournament campaigns.
Each package includes:
- A €600 Battle of Malta Main Event ticket
- Accommodation
- Travel expenses
The overall value of each package is approximately $2,500.
Players who win trophy events online will have the option of collecting their trophies during the live festival’s awards ceremony. Those unable to travel can arrange to have their trophies delivered instead.
Continuing a Tradition of Online Partnerships
The Battle of Malta has frequently partnered with online poker operators to expand its reach and provide qualification routes to its live events.
Over the years, online editions and satellite campaigns have been hosted by major brands including PokerStars, GGPoker, WPT Global, PartyPoker, 888poker and Winamax, alongside a number of regional and emerging operators.
Previous Battle of Malta Online festivals have appeared on both GGPoker and the Winning Poker Network. The largest editions have carried guarantees in the $25 million to $30 million range, meaning the upcoming CoinPoker festival matches the highest guaranteed levels previously associated with the brand.
One of Europe’s Most Popular Live Festivals
Since its launch in 2012, the Battle of Malta has grown into one of Europe’s premier live poker festivals. Hosted at Casino Malta, the series attracts thousands of players each year and has built a strong reputation among recreational, low-stakes and mid-stakes competitors.
Recent editions have continued that trend, generating large fields and seven-figure prize pools. Organizers have already announced a €2 million guarantee for the upcoming autumn stop, which is expected to draw another substantial international turnout.
For CoinPoker, the partnership represents a significant opportunity to showcase its platform to a wider audience, while Battle of Malta gains access to a growing global player base ahead of one of its biggest live festivals of the year.
