Last time we wrote about Doyle Brunson's Super System 2, one of modern poker's most important books that teaches you the basics of all kinds of poker. Of course there are many more good books, which are not touching upon the basics, and such a book is Barry Greenstein's Ace On The River. It is one of our all-time favourites here at Rakerace.com. In our present review, we want tell you why.

Written by the godfather of poker, Doyle Brunson, Super System is considered the bible of poker. Already a two-times WSOP champion, Brunson wrote the indispensable book in 1979. He released the Super System 2 in 2004, which we are going to present to you now.

The latest piece of poker literature to hit the shelves is “No Limits: The Fundamentals of No-Limit Holdem” by Chris ’Fox’ Wallace and Adam Stemple. In addition to the Preface, a Glossary and three Appendixes the 16 chapters of the book include topics like “Pre-Flop Play,” “Bet-Size: The Key to No Limit Holdem,” “The Importance of Position,” “Bluffing Strategy and Tips,” and “Bankroll Management.”

Our goal here was simple but demanding: create a list of the best 10 books on poker ever. Most of them are for beginners of the game that is becoming increasingly popular year by year but some are for those already on a more advanced level. All in all, this is a rather subjective list, of course, but we do hope it gains your approval.
