The Montesino attempt at the new record launched on 12 August at 17:00 CET and is planned to end on 18 August, at 17:00 CET. Participants play at seven-handed tables and the minimum buy-in was €2,000. Mixed games are offered to the players of the attempt with €10/€20 NLHE and €10/€20 PLO games changing in every 10 hours.
Several nationalities are represented, including PartyPoker Team Pro German Bodo Sbrzesny. In addition to the record, the player who holds out the longest receives a €4,000 package to the Carribean Poker Tour Punta Cana.
