In January, the operator introduces yet another unique offer: in the Big Bang central promotion, recreational players are given a chance, as opposed to the regular rake races, to defeat even the best regulars in a race running through the month at the cash game tables. The aim is to accumulate points with a difference; in Big Bang, it is not the number of tables or your limit that counts, but your first 150 hands played each day on cash game tables. Points are given for the strength of your cards in hands you play to the showdown.
A royal flush is worth 500 points, a flush is 100 and a pair is 20. As a result, you can win the race by playing on a single table and the smallest limits. Also, the promotion is organised on a regional basis: Russia, Canada, Germany, Australia, the UK and an International region are established. In each region, three races are organised, running from 6-12, 13-19 and 20-26 January.
Up for grabs are iPad Mini, Xbox 360, PS4 and PS Vita devices as well as cash.
888Poker expects recreational players to be drawn to the room by the promotion, as well as enabling them to enjoy the game more, therefore staying at the room longer, by providing a sense of success. Of course, this also benefits regulars for obvious reasons.
