The Turbo Series is well underway at PokerStars, with a number of tournaments running every day in a turbo format.
The online tournament sharks jumped into the game and the grind seems to pay off well for MTT legend, 'girafganger7'. The long-time tournament specialist managed to take down two events in one day, winning $37,204.49 and $26,021.13 for a total of $63,225.62.
He first entered the Turbo Series Event #69 ($215 NL Hold'em, 4-Max) where he managed to outlast a field of 1,344, then joined the Turbo Series Event #71 ($215 NL Hold'em, Fat Tuesday SE) which attracted 870 participants and closed down this event as well.

The UK-based online pro has accumulated a total of $8,074,944 playing exclusively online tournaments and is currently 4th on the online rankings. The only three players with higher rankings are the two Swedish sickos, 'lena900' and 'C Darwin2' and Russia's 'hello_totti'.
Even though 'girafganger' made a nice sum in the tournaments, he's probably still sorrowed about PokerStars' latest decision to cut the reward points for MTTs, which is another big punch into the players' faces.
While $1/€1 in tournament fees was good for 100 points before, now they only worth 45 points, which is another 55% cut in their reward system.
As PokerStars' Severin Rasset explained: "This is a reduction in the overall amount of rewards some players will receive, but made in an area that we believe will have the least impact on their experience and enable us to place even more focus where we know it matters most. This includes offering the largest tournament guarantees like the €20m Winter Series guarantee in Southern Europe as well as record-breaking COOPs and Sunday Millions, and providing the most exciting live event experiences in poker."
