GGPoker Removes the Coaching Feature Ask Fedor
GGPoker recently announced that Ask Fedor, a poker tool that helps casual players analyse their plays, will be discontinued. The tool has accepted no new users since the 1st of September, with existing members able to finish using any “Asks” they have left. GGPoker seems like they’ll remove the service entirely during the first week of October, so players must use their remaining “Asks” before then.
What’s Ask Fedor?
In 2021, GGPoker started working with its brand ambassador, Fedor Holz, to design this comprehensive tool. It went live in April 2022 and is a personalised, built-in tool for players to analyse their hand history when they use an “Ask”.
It rates their play and acts as an AI (artificial intelligence) coach, stating which actions would have been better to take with that hand. As such, it was an excellent way for players to improve their technique and knowledge.
Ask Fedor Pricing
Ask Fedor was one of the purchased tools, as there was no free membership available. The basic membership, giving players 30 “Asks”, was for $29.99, the standard membership was for $99.99 for 120 “Asks,” and the Premium was for $199.99 for unlimited “Asks” and ratings on VIP cash games. As such, it competed directly with tools like PioSolver, GTO+, and RIO Vision. However, it was one of the more expensive options.
Similar Tools on GGPoker
This feature removal came at the same time of GGPoker’s decision to ban SharkScope from their platform, though there’s no evidence that the two are connected. However, the brand doesn’t leave players in the dark, as they have a few other excellent tools, including their in-house tournament staking feature.
Smart HUD
GGPoker’s Smart HUD gives players the statistics of other players at the table and data on every hand that player has played against them. It also helps them track their statistics at a specific game to identify weaknesses and work on their game in their spare time.
PokerCraft
PokerCraft tracks your poker games and can visualise and replay games to help you analyse them. Further, this comprehensive tool saves all the hands you play and provides advice on improving your game after analysing your performance. It’s accessible on mobile and desktop, and its innovative ways of visualising your game and hands offer better insight into how you can enhance your gameplay.
Similar Tools in Other Rooms
GGPoker isn’t the only poker room with this type of tool. Partypoker offers MyGame Whiz, a training platform with some of the best GTO plays. Unibet has Game Lab, which includes a school section helping players improve their playing, while PokerStars has Level Up with Lex and PokerStars Learn.
Enjoy Our Exclusive Rake Race
While Ask Fedor might be no more, we have no idea whether it’s a permanent removal, a revamp of the software, or making way for something new. However, players still have access to Smart HUD and PokerCraft, which are excellent tools to help track, analyse, and improve your plays on GGPoker.
