GGPoker Debuts Six-Card Omaha—More Cards, More Action!

GGPoker is preparing to introduce a permanent addition to its cash game lineup. And that's Six-Card Omaha. This comes after a three-year gap without new game variants. Six-Card Omaha, often called PLO6, builds upon the traditional Omaha framework. It increases the number of hole cards dealt to each player from four to six. With six-hole cards, players face a significant increase in possible card combinations. Standard Omaha has six two-card combinations; in Six-Card Omaha, this number jumps to 15. Despite the added complexity, it preserves the fundamental rules of Omaha. Players must still use exactly two hole cards. And they must combine them with three community cards to form the best five-card hand.

GGPoker plans to offer Six-Card Omaha as a cash game. This is likely at five-handed tables instead of the standard six-max format. This change follows their earlier move. They switched five-card Omaha to five-handed tables as an anti-collusion measure. 

More hole cards in play means games become vulnerable to collusion. This is usually through shared hole card information. GGPoker aims to enhance game integrity and player security. This is through reducing the number of players per table.
