Aussie Millions 2012 Main Event - Phil Ivey Among Leaders

Robin Ylitalo took position as chipleader at the Aussie Millions Main Event Day 1C. Phil Ivey is also among the ones in lead.
317 poker players registered for the A$10,600 buy-in main event of day 1C, which means that a total of 659 players started the competition this year. The total prize pool thus makes a grand A$6,590,000 with the winner taking home A$1,600,000. 
 
Many high-profile players appeared on Tuesday, like Phil Ivey, Erik Seidel, Daniel Negreanu, Sorel Mizzi, Nam Le, Chris Moorman, Dan Smith, Sam Trickett, Joseph Cheong, Toby Lewis, Victor Ramdin, Mike Sowers, Jason Mercier and last year's winner David Gorr. Out of these big names, Phil Ivey did best: he took place 4 on day 1C with 184,000 chips.

Also in the top finishers is David Sonelin (186,200) and Jason Koon (155,300), who took place 4 at the PCA High Roller event. Most of the other big names got eliminated, including Cheong, Seidel, Negreanu, Nam Le, Trickett, Lewis, Moorman, Ramdin and Mizzi. 
 
The chipleader position of day 1C has been taken by Robin Ylitalo with 192,600 in chips. Best in the qualifiers was Brett Watson (he closed day 1A with 257,000 chips). 
 
305 players start day 2, with dealing resuming at the eighth blind level (100/500/1000).
