WSOP 2013 - #47 - $111,111 Little One Started

The WSOP Event #47 - $111,111 Little One tournament is the (considerably) smaller counterpart of the famous $1,000,000 Big One, this year's high roller tournament at the world series. 3% of the total prize pool will be donated to the One Drop foundation as a charity effort.

166 entrants bought into the $111,111 Little One tournament at this year's WSOP to create a $17,891,148 prize pool (without the deducted 3% going to charity). Numerous poker legends were in the field as was expected; this was Tom 'durrrr' Dwan's first appearance at this year's WSOP.

By the end of the day, 108 players remained. Eliminated players were Mohsin Charania, Talal Shakerchi, Sam Trickett, Isaac Haxton, Dan Smith, Michael Mizrachi, Brian Rast, Bryn Kenney, Sammy Farha, Freddy Deeb, Ben Tollerene, Bill Chen, Greg Merson, Phil Galfond, Faraz Jaka, Scott Seiver, Sorel Mizzi, Alexander Kostritsyn, Erik Seidel, Jonathan Duhamel and even durrrr.

Naturally, the remaining player list is equally strong, even though the chiplead is held by a relatively unknown player, Brandon Steven. Steven finished 10th at the 2010 Main Event as a final table bubble boy; this time around he finished the day with 1,398,000 chips. He is followed by the German EPT Grand Final High Roller champion Tobias Reinemeier with another seven-figure stack, 1,225,000.

Day 2 will start on the 11th blind level (1,000-3,000/6,000), the average stack is 461,111 at the moment.
