iPoker Elite Series Spring Ed. Boasts €7 Million Guarantee

The Elite Series on the iPoker network is back again, this time bigger than ever. While experiencing a surge of interest in the MTTs across the iPoker network, this year’s series promises €7 million in guarantees. This Spring series follows on the heels of the network’s most extensive series to date, the Winter Edition. Its guarantee nearly surpassed €10 million in prize money it handed out over the 800 events in the series. 

Meanwhile, the previous Spring Editions show a gradual increase in its guarantee. As such, the €7 million overall guarantee isn’t as surprising as it would be otherwise. The 2022 edition had a guarantee of just over €3 million, while the 2023 one had a €5 million guarantee. 

We likely should have expected the new figure, with the overall prize pool increasing in €2 million increments. Still, it marks an auspicious year, as it’s this network’s largest Spring tournament hosted to date.

The Spring edition starts on May 1st and runs until June 4th. As such, it’ll overlap with GGPoker’s $250 million World Festival and PokerStars’ $75 million SCOOP, placing itself in direct competition with these brands. 

Michael Bedulskis, Playtech’s Tournament and Promotions Manager, stated, “This is the biggest tournament promotion of the year so far.”

There are 72 numbered events and many more side events, all with buy-ins ranging between €1 and €500. However, this tournament emphasises the mid-stake events to provide a happy medium for casual players and high rollers.

Before the series kicks off, players can participate in 13 “snack” tournaments. These Regular Flight events will provide tickets to the Elite Series; some already start on April 28th. The series boasts newly launched seven-handed tables, new €250 tournaments, and payout tweaks.

The payout changes are primarily to regular and PKO events. Due to popular demand, Mystery Bounty tournaments will join the event line-up. This way, players who prefer low-to-mid buy-ins can enjoy one of the most popular formats.

Not only are some new Mystery Bounty events debuting, but the €250,000 Main Event with a €50 buy-in also adopts this format with a flight structure. Other events to pay attention to are the €150,000 €250 buy-in Championship with a €150,000 guarantee or the €125,000 Spring Closer with a €125 buy-in.

Various event types are available, from PKO and PLO to flighted events and rebuys. About 38% of the events are non-PKO events to provide more variety. While participating in these events, players can also complete weekly missions to climb the leaderboards.
