First Stop of EPT 9 Coming Up, 300 Players to Qualify Online

On 15 August, the PokerStars European Poker Tour Season 9 kicks off in Barcelona. A record number of 300 players are set to qualify online.

WSOP Main Event: The Final Table is Set

Following Event Days 5, 6 and 7, the World Series of Poker 2012 Final Table is now set. Nine players return in October to decide the fate of the $8,527,982 first prize and the ultimate golden bracelet.

WSOP National Championship: Ryan Eriquezzo is Champion

Yung ‘Andy’ Hwang started in the chiplead at the 8-handed final table of the WSOP National Championship. The WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) National Championship was organised in 2011 for the first time as an invitational-only event for a golden bracelet, despite not being an integral part of the World Series.

WSOP Main Event Days 1A-C: 4,344 Players Make it to Days 2A-C

The most renowned players of the world were among the total of 6,598 to enter the first event days of the Main Event of the 43rd World Series of Poker. Event #61 $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em resumes now with 4,344 grinders in play for Event Days 2A-C.

WSOP Event #59 and #60: $1,000 NLHE and $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball NL are Concluded

Only the National Championship and the Main Event itself remains to be played through among the bracelet events after Event #59 $1,000 No Limit Hold'em and Event #60 $10,000 2-7 Draw Lowball (No-Limit) are over.

WSOP Event #57 and #58: Greg Merson and Viacheslav Zhukov Win Bracelets

Two 4th day WSOP finales ended in the weekend: Event #57  $10,000 No Limit Hold'em - Six-Handed and Event #58 $3,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Low Split 8-or-Better.

WSOP Event#56 - The Czech Tomas Junek Wins Bracelet

22 players started Day 3 of the $1,500 No Limit Hold'em championship. Donald Vogel was the chipleader with 1,297,000, followed by Gianluca Mattia (1,271,000) and WSOP champion Peter Eastgate (1,043,000). Both Eastgate and Vogel made it to the final 9, who were lead by Tomas Junek, followed by Tomas Trampota.

WSOP Event #53 and #54 - Neil Willerson and Will Jaffe Score Big

The WSOP Event #53 $1,500 No Limit Hold'em and Event #54 $1,000 No Limit Hold'em Championships have ended with the victory of Neil Willerson and Will Jaffe. Both players won theif first respective bracelets.

PokerStars To Promote Poker in Brazil - Sponsors BSOP

PokerStars intends to promote the game of poker in Brazil; they emerged as the new main sponsors for the Brazilian Series of Poker. The series will feature events in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Fortaleza és Balneário Camboriú.

WSOP Event #55: The Magician Wins $18.3 Million

Only the 8-handed final table was left for Day 3 of WSOP Event #55 $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop, the biggest buy-in tournament in poker history. Antonio ’The Magician’ Esfandiari started in the chiplead, slightly ahead of Sam Trickett. Whoever had been to win the event was bound to jump right on top of the all time money list.

WSOP $1,000,000 Big One Kicks Off, Official Entrants List Released

Two Phils, Ivey and Hellmuth are also included on the entrants list for the biggest buy-in event in poker history ever. The prize pool is $42,666,672, the future winner can take home $18,346,673.
