EPT Barcelona - Martin Schleich Takes Down €850,000

The European Poker Tour has its newest champion, as the German player Martin Schleich took down the EPT Barcelona final table, cashing whopping €850,000. Dragan Kostic came in second, while Team PokerStars pro Eugene Katchalov finished third.

WSOP Event #56 and Event #57 - $1,500 NLHE and $5,000 Omaha H/L

The Swedish programmer Hasan Alexander Anter took down the WSOP Event #56 ( in style: he defeated his opponent with a royal flush. The Event #57 bracelet ($5,000 Omaha H/L) went to Nick Banger.

WSOP Event #54 and Event #55 - $1,000 NLHE and $50,000 Poker Players Championship

Max Lykov had the lead throughout the final table of WSOP Event #54 $1,000 NLHE, eventually defeating Dror Michaelo heads-up. In the famous $50,000 Poker Players Championship (WSOP Event #55), Phil Hellmuth lost his third HU battle in WSOP 2011, this time against Brian Rast.

WSOP Event #52 and Event #53 - $2,500 Mixed Hold'em and WSOP $1,000 Ladies NLHE

The 52nd and 53rd Events ended, Matt Matros won the $2,500 Mixed Hold'em Event for $303,501 and Marsha Wolak the $1,000 Ladies NLHE Event for $192,344. As last year, many males entered the ladies event, which caused major upheaval amongst other players.

WSOP – Weekend Results: Events #36, #37, #38, #39

Four events were concluded during the past weekend at the WSOP in Las Vegas: the $2,500 NLHE (won by Mikhail Lakhitov), the $10,000 HORSE (Fabrice Soulier), the $1,500 NLHE (Arkadiy Tsinis) and the $2,500 Pot Limit Hold’em/Omaha (Mitch Schock).

WSOP Event #32 and Event #33 - $1,500 NLHE and $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low

Kirk Caldwell is the fourth Canadian to win a golden bracelet in this year’s WSOP, taking down Event #32 $1,500 NLHE. In Event #33 $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Low Phil Hellmuth once again got close to his 12th bracelet but eventually lost to Eric Rodawig heads-up.

WSOP Event #19 and Event #20 - $2,500 Limit Hold’em and $1,000 NLHE

Darren Woods won WSOP Event #19 $2,500 Limit Hold’em, which makes him the third British player to win a bracelet in this year’s championship. Event #20 $1,000 NLHE was taken down by Jason Somerville, who single-handedly (pun intended) defeated Yashar Darian heads-up.

WSOP Event #2 - Jake Cody Defeats Hansen

As we reported, Gus Hansen was a clear favourite for the WSOP $25,000 Heads-Up Championship. However, it was Jake Cody, 22-year-old British poker pro, who took down the $851,192 main prize and the WSOP bracelet in the end.

WSOP Event #2 - Hansen In Final Eight

The Top 8 of the WSOP $25,000 Heads Up World Championship Event is set after day 2 ended. Gus Hansen eliminated his fellow Full Tilt Poker pro, Tom 'durrrr' Dwan in a fierce fight.

WPT Spanish Championship: Berglund Becomes Youngest Champion Ever

18-year-old Swede player Lukas Berglund won the World Poker Tour (WPT) Barcelona Main Event. Defeating his seven opponents at the final table, he became the youngest champion of the tournament ever.

WSOP Heads-Up Rematches - Seidel vs. Johnny Chan as 3rd Match

The vote on the WSOP Heads-Up Rematches has closed, not surprisingly, voters chose the Johnny Chan vs Erik Seidel 1992 WSOP final match to be recreated during this year's championship. The event will air on ESPN on July 26.

WPT Championship: Seiver Wins Main Event, Seidel Takes Down Super High Roller

Scott Seiver won the $1,618,344 first prize of the WPT Championship Main Event, defeating 'Freddy' Bonyadi heads-up. The Super High Roller event is also finally over: Erik Seidel emerged on Friday as champion.

WPT Championship Final Table Set, Galen Hall Leads

The final table of this year's WPT Championship is all set and ready to go in the Bellagio. Galen Hall still leads, but Scott Seiver is not much behind. Young, Bonyadi, Gargano and Teska all made it to the finals. Andy Frankenberger won the Player of the Year award.

WPT Amneville winner Sam el Sayed leads the World Poker Tour (WPT) Championship. 52 players made it through Day 4. The infamous cheater, Ali Tekintamgac is still at the tables.

Mercier Takes Down EPT Champion of Champions Trophy

As a conclusion to this year's European Poker Tour series, Jason Mercier won the tournament that brought together all EPT winners of the last 7 years. Mercier defeated PCA winner Galen Hall for €50,000 worth of EPT Season 8 buy-ins.

Freitez Wins EPT 7 Grand Final

The final table of the European Poker Tour Season 7 Grand Final took place yesterday, on May 12. Eventually, Venezuelan Ivan Freitez managed to acquire the Shamballa bracelet, defeating his last four opponents in a less than two hours long session, broadcast live with some delay.

Mike Scarborough Takes Down WPT Hollywood, Seidel 2.

Mike Scarborough won the 2011 WPT Hollywood Poker Open Main Event after, on a huge rush, he managed to eliminate the chipleader William Reynolds. Erik Seidel finished second.

EPT Berlin: NeverScaredB Wins

Ben ‘NeverScaredB’ Wilinofsky won the EPT Berlin Main Event on Sunday, April 10. Martin Jacobson played his fourth EPT final table but, once again, the cards were not on his side.

WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star Final Table Set with Matusow, Sexton and Rajkumar
